Welcome to the Time Management Forums. Please note we have moved the discussion forum to a sub-folder, see link on the right. Thank you for your continuing support. We are now working on extending the site to have more general time-management content. Forum will remain our main focus, and last threads and posts and similar will be integrated to the main page of the site.

Import from Outlook

At this time (July 22nd, 2007), Barca can only import emails and contacts from Outlook, not tasks nor calendar items.

Just to "test things", I have created a simple application (small by code, but unavoidably large by download size due to the programming environment used), that can import tasks from Outlook.

Functionality is not guaranteed, it doesn't import all the details yet (only start date, due date, subject, notes(body) and date of completion are imported).
Tested shortly with Microsoft Outlook 2002 on Windows XP.

Future plans:
I might add support for more task properties through time, but I don't guarantee any further development. It's only made available thinking that someone might find it useful ("better import something than nothing"). I might even consider adding calendar import functionality, again that depends on time available and my learning desire (this program is just a by-product of my efforts to learn programming).

Time Management Forum upgraded and moved

Alongside with an upgrade to a new release of Simple Machines forum (which alone provides big move forward against the previous version), I have decided to move forum, to /forum/ subfolder, which means it's now accessible at new address:
http://www.timemanagementforums.com/forum/

For a direct link, see the one at the righ top of the page (location at the moment of writing this post, might differ in the future).

This is a first step in a longer series of changes. Main goal being addition of quality and original time-management related content.

Forum will continue to remain the main focus and will be integrated into the main page of the site, as much as the two software packages used to run this site will allow.
